Dog Bite Cases

Dog bites can cause very serious injury.  If you have been bitten by a dog, whether your injury is serious or minor then you will be entitled to compensation.

The owner of a dog or the person who is in control of a dog ("the keeper") is liable to pay compensation to the victim of a dog bite.  It does not matter if the dog bite takes place on the owner/keeper’s property.  It does not matter if the owner/keeper has a sign up on their property to warn that visitors should “Beware of the Dog”.  It does not matter what breed the dog is and it does not matter if the owner/keeper tells you that the dog "has never bitten anyone before".

In most cases compensation will be paid by the dog owner’s house insurers or pet insurers.

If you have been bitten by a dog then call Sandgate Law for advice.  Our advice is free and you will have no obligation to instruct us to act even after we have given you our advice.

If you do decide to instruct Sandgate Law then we can act on a legal aid basis if you qualify or on a no-win-no-fee basis.  We will discuss the details when you call.
